RESUMEN: Los seres humanos que llegan a este mundo con muchas menos posibilidades de sobrevivir, que son marginados por la sociedad y sufren la desigualdad social del mundo, son la gran mayoría de habitantes de esta tierra. Medellín, que ha sido una ciudad golpeada por el narcotráfico y el terrorismo, sufre de este mal, gente que no tiene oportunidades de salir adelante y que su única forma de conseguir un sustento es ejerciendo labores ilícitas. Queriendo formar parte de esta cultura social donde se entrega toda la voluntad posible por hacer de la ciudad un sitio con mayor calidad de vida, se busca dar la mano donde sea requerida. En la fundación Dame La Mano, un buen manejo de la información permitiría a las directivas llevar un control del desempeño de la fundación en cuanto a personas atendidas y áreas de mayor necesidad. Todo nació con la idea de prestarle un servicio a la comunidad que sufre las desigualdades sociales y que tiene pocas oportunidades de superación y subsistencia. La información de la fundación proviene de sus programas y las personas que atiende, de ahí la importancia de implementar una base de datos especializada y sistematizada para todos los cursos y personas que se beneficiaran de Dame La Mano. Esta base de datos permitirá a las directivas de la fundación conocer su desempeño, llevar registro de las personas que han pasado por la fundación e identificar las áreas donde la sociedad demanda mayor asistencia. La base de datos se generó en el formato del programa Microsoft Access, que es especializado para la elaboración de bases de datos. El programa tiene la facultad de tener una interfase de usuario muy similar a la del sistema operativo de Windows, lo que permite que cualquier persona que esté familiarizada con este sistema, pueda manipular la base de datos fácilmente. La base de datos se alimentará de datos que provienen de la misma fundación y de las personas beneficiarias, por lo que serán exactos y fáciles de conseguir. Con esta herramienta informática, que en estos tiempos es más que una necesidad, Dame La Mano pasará a tener un manejo de la información acorde a la tecnología de hoy en día, y podrá lograr una mayor eficiencia en su labor. Sabiendo las desigualdades y la falta de oportunidades que el mundo presenta para una gran parte de la población mundial, cualquier colaboración que se haga para mejorar estas condiciones es bien recibida. Como profesionales se sabe que se tiene un compromiso social para mejorar la comunidad en la que se habita y aumentar el nivel de vida que tiene. Habitar una ciudad como Medellín, permite visualizar las desigualdades que se presentan en la sociedad y saber que la labor social que se debe hacer es muy grande para que algún día todos tengan oportunidades en este mundo. Queriendo empezar con esta labor de colaborar con la sociedad, se abrió la posibilidad de ayudar a una fundación como Dame La Mano, que se dedica a dar alimentación a los niños de la comuna 13 y capacitar a los jóvenes y adultos, de este mismo sector, para el trabajo en diferentes labores. La fundación contará de ahora en adelante, con una herramienta informática que le ayudará en el desempeño de su labor, mejorando el manejo de la información para obtener resultados más rápidos.

ABSTRACT: Human beings that come to this world with fewer possibilities of survival, that are marginalized by the society and suffer the social inequality of the world, form the majority of inhabitants in the earth. Medellín, that has been a city hit by narcotraffic and terrorism suffers from this syndrome in its population, people that have no opportunities of becoming something, and that their only way of finding sustenance is exerting illicit jobs. Because of this reasons organizations destined to help people are born, with more desires than resources, they acquire a social compromise to help the most needed. Wanting to form part of that social culture, where you give all the will possible to make of the city a place with a better quality of life, we tried to offer a hand where it is required. In the foundation Dame La Mano, a good management of the information will allow the directors a control of the performance the foundation is having, regarding aspects as attended persons and areas of most necessity. It all began with the idea of presenting a service to the community that suffers the social inequalities and has few opportunities of overcoming and subsistence. The information of the foundation comes from the programs and the attended people, there for the importance of implementing a specialized data base, systematized for all the courses and persons that benefit from Dame La Mano. This data base, will allow the directors of the foundation to know its performance, have records of the persons that pass through and identify the areas where society demands more assistance. The data base was made in the format allowed by the program Access, that is specialized in the making of data bases. The program has the faculty of having a users interface very similar to the one used in the operative system of Windows, this permits any person that is familiar with the system to manipulate easily the data base. The data base will feed it self from the data that comes from the foundation and the people attended in it, giving exact and easy finding information. With this informatic tool that is necessary in this days, Dame La Mano will acquire a management of the information system that goes along with the technology used today and is going to be able to increase the efficiency of its job. Knowing the inequalities and the lack of opportunities that the world presents to a big part of the global population, any help given to improve this conditions is well received. As professionals you know that you have a social compromise to make of the community where you live a better place and increase the quality of life that it has. Living in a city like Medellin gives you the possibility of visualizing the inequalities presented in the society and makes you understand that the social labor that has to be done its pretty big if we want that some day all of us could have opportunities in this world. Wanting to start with this job of helping with society, the possibility of working in the foundation Dame la Mano, institution that dedicates its self to give the child’s of the “comuna 13” alimentation and to capacitate grown ups of the same sector in different areas, opened. The foundation will count from now on with an informatic tool that will help in the performance of its job, improving the management of the information to obtain master results
