Modelación del tránsito de crecientes con el Hec-Ras en un tramo del Río Medellín

Abstract

RESUMEN A partir de investigaciones anteriores de la modelación del tránsito de crecientes para el tramo del río Medellín comprendido entre las estaciones limnigráficas RMS-22 de Girardota y RMS-13 de El Hatillo de la red hidrometeorológica de Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM), se formuló el presente trabajo como una actualización de esa modelación utilizando el programa HEC-RAS 4.1. Para el desarrollo del proyecto fue necesario recopilar información hidrológica, hidrógrafas de nivel y de caudal registradas en las estaciones de medición para eventos de creciente y datos de la geometría del tramo en estudio compuesta por secciones transversales que son el resultado de levantamientos topográficos y batimétricos. Se hizo un análisis de los registros recopilados y se escogieron nueve crecientes para ser transitadas. A partir de estos resultados se estudió el comportamiento de las curvas profundidad-caudal en flujo no permanente. Por último se transitaron tres crecientes, en donde se hicieron diversas consideraciones como cambio de coeficiente de Manning, ingreso de aportes tributarios y de lluvia además de la descarga de la central hidroeléctrica La Tasajera con el fin de obtener parámetros que permitieran calibrar futuras crecientes en el tramo de estudio.

ABSTRACT

From past research on traffic modeling of flood routing for the section of Medellin river placed between the limnigraph stations of RMS-22 in Girardota and RMS-13 in El Hatillo of the Empresas Públicas de Medellín’s hydrometeorological instrumentation net (EPM), This paper was developed as an update of the modelation, using the program HEC-RAS 4.1. For the develop of the project, it was necessary to collect hydrological data as hydrographs of stage and discharged, registered at the measurement stations for increasing events, and also the geometry of the section under study composed by cross sections that are the result of topographic and bathymetric surveys. An analysis of records compiled was made, and nine flood routing were chosen as a base to study the behavior of the deep-discharged curves of non-permanent flow. Finally three flood routing were run, where several considerations were made such as change of Manning coefficient , income of tributaries and rain in addition to the central discharge hydroelectric La Tasajera to obtain parameters to calibrate flood routing in the future at the section under study.
