ABSTRACT: The purpose of the following project was to design and financially evaluate a photovoltaic solar system at the Tomas Carrasquilla Technical Industrial Educational Institution, located in the municipality of Santo Domingo, Antioquia. The institution has 10 structures within its facilities, hosting approximately 750 students and 20 people from the administrative and educational area. Initially, several field visits were carried out to collect information on the structures and energy demand, after digitizing this information, one of the structures was selected to locate the photovoltaic solar system in it based on various selection criteria. The solar panels to be used were selected depending on the ease of obtaining them in the markets near the municipality; The numbers of panels to be used were calculated (27) considering the energy demand of the institution, subsequently the most accessible inverter in the market that supports the panel is selected. After having all the technical configuration of the system, we continue to carry out the APU's of the necessary activities to implement the photovoltaic solar system in the institution, considering the materials, labor, tools, and transport that each activity can use. The results are made up of a series of documents where the project is presented and its application in the energy, financial and social fields is evaluated, to later present said project to FENOGE for possible financing.
