RESUMEN: Este es el informe final del trabajo de grado, con práctica de servicio social, realizado por Carlos Fernando Valencia Cardona, en la entidad sin ánimo de lucro Microempresas de Antioquia. Este proyecto pretendía formar un vínculo entre los estudiantes de la Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia (EIA), próximos a graduarse, y dicha entidad, para encontrar la manera en la que la asesoría de un Ingeniero Administrador, podría ayudar a las microempresas a mejorar y crecer de una manera más sólida y ordenada. La metodología que se diseñó consta de tres pasos básicos y consecutivos a seguir: en primer lugar, se realizó una asignación de las microempresas en las que, a criterio de Microempresas de Antioquia, la asesoría de un Ingeniero Administrador traería mayores beneficios, estas microempresas fueron para el caso de este trabajo Cantel y Bocas Sanas; en segundo lugar, se hizo un diagnóstico de la situación de la microempresa y de los principales problemas sobre los cuales se podría trabajar para mejorar los resultados de operación, esta etapa sólo se logró terminar con éxito en Bocas Sanas; Finalmente, se establecieron e implementaron soluciones que pretendían eliminar o mitigar los problemas encontrados en la etapa de diagnóstico, para el caso de Bocas Sanas, la solución fue el desarrollo de una nueva línea de negocios. En cuanto al proyecto puntual desarrollado en Bocas Sanas, puede decirse que fue muy exitoso y el montaje de la nueva línea se realizó en su totalidad, dejando como resultado un nuevo servicio estandarizado y documentado que la microempresa está en capacidad de explotar para su beneficio económico. En cuanto al proyecto macro de asesoría a microempresarios realizada por estudiantes de la EIA, hay algunas dificultades, como el establecimiento de horarios y otras, en las que tanto los estudiantes como los microempresarios, deben realizar esfuerzos de forma que el provecho sacado del programa sea el máximo posible.

ABSTRACT: This is the final report of the work of degree with social service practice made by Carlos Fernando Valencia Cardona in a non profit organization called Microempresas de Antioquia. This project tried to form a link between the students of the EIA that were close to their graduation and the above mentioned organization in order to find a way in which the office of an assessor, being this assessor a Mangement Engineer, could help the microcompanies to improve their internal processes and to grow in a more solid and ordered way. The methodology that was designed consists of three basic and consecutive steps to follow: in the first place, It was done an allocation of the microcompanies in which, to criterion of Microempresas de Antioquia, the office of an assessor would bring greater benefits, these microcompanies were for the case of this work Cantel and Bocas Sanas; secondly, it was made a diagnosis of the situation of each microcompany and an identification of the main problems on which it would be possible to make changes looking forward to improve the operational results, this stage was only successfully finished in Bocas Sanas; Finally, some solutions that tried to eliminate or to mitigate the problems found in the diagnosis stage were designed and implemented, for the case of Bocas Sanas the solution was the development of a new line of businesses. Regarding the specific project developed in Bocas Sanas, it can be said that it was very successful and the assembly of the new line of bussiness was totally made leaving as result a new standardized and documented service x that the microcompany is in capacity to explode for its economic benefit. Regarding the main project of consultant's office to microindustralists made by students of the EIA it is necessary to say that there are some difficulties, such as the establishment of schedules and some other problems, in which the students and the microindustralists will have to make efforts in order to obtain the maximum possible benefit from the program.
