dc.description.abstractRESUMEN: Tanto el deseo propio de crear empresa, como el enfoque empresarista de la Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia, fueron los gestores del presente proyecto de negocio. La observación del mercado y la búsqueda constante de oportunidades permitieron descubrir la necesidad existente en el mercado de productos colorantes naturales a precios razonables y de buena calidad, que van de acuerdo con las tendencias globales de cuidado personal y buena salud. El presente trabajo presenta una recopilación bibliográfica clara sobre el colorante del achiote, conocido comercialmente como annatto, así como un análisis completo del proyecto con el fin de determinar la viabilidad financiera del mismo. Los estudios que conformaron este plan de negocios permitieron identificar el funcionamiento real de la industria del annatto en Colombia, las oportunidades que existen en este mercado y las limitaciones que se presentan para acceder a él. Igualmente permitieron entender el proceso que hay que llevar a cabo para poner una nueva empresa en marcha, así como los riesgos y problemas que surgen en el camino. Finalmente, a través del análisis se pudo constatar que la propuesta de tercerización actual es viable tanto financieramente, como ambiental, legal y técnicamente, pero tiene ciertas restricciones en el tamaño del mercado por lo pequeño que es éste. Pero definitivamente puede ser una fuente de ingreso y de creación de valor para el país.spa
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: The internal desire to develop a business and the entrepreneurial focus of the Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia, led to the creation of this business plan. An in-depth observation of the market and the constant search for new opportunities, led us to better understand and identify the underlying need for well-priced and good quality products, in accordance with the global trends of personal care and good health. The following business plan presents a clear bibliographic compilation of the coloring obtained from achiote, commercially known as annatto. As well as a complete analysis of the project, in order to determine its financial feasibility. The studies developed in this project allow the identification of the real behavior of the annatto industry in Colombia, as well as the existing opportunities of the market and also the current barriers to entry. These studies not only make it possible to understand the process of creating a new company, but also the risks and problems that may arise. Finally, through this analysis it was possible to determine that the outsourcing proposal of the main activities of the firm is feasible not only from a financial perspective, but also from an environmental, legal and technical. However, there are some constraints with regard to the market size. Nevertheless, this can be a source of revenue and value creation for the country.eng
