RESUMEN: El Colegio de La Enseñanza Cardenal Luque, perteneciente a la Orden de la Compañía de María Nuestra Señora, ofrece desde 1980 una educación de calidad en la localidad de Engativá, Bogotá D.C. Este sector se caracteriza por una altísima demanda de cupos escolares, que no alcanza a satisfacerse con la oferta existente. Desde finales de los 90, el colegio ha venido desmejorando sus resultados económicos y arrojando pérdidas recurrentes, las cuales han llevado a la orden religiosa a considerar el cierre de la institución. El presente trabajo se ocupa de estructurar un plan de sostenibilidad financiera que ayude a revertir esta tendencia y procure la continuidad del colegio en el tiempo. Para alcanzar este objetivo, se partió del desarrollo de un análisis operativo y financiero que permitió ahondar en la problemática del colegio e identificar sus principales debilidades y áreas de oportunidad en la gestión administrativa y financiera.

ABSTRACT: “La Enseñanza Cardenal Luque” School, belonging to the Order of “La Compañía de María Nuestra Señora”, offers from 1980 a quality education in Engativá's locality, Bogota D.C. This sector is characterized by a high demand of school vacant, which is not satisfied with the existing offer. From the late 90’s, the school has been diminishing its financial results and has shown appellant losses, which have led to the religious order to consider the closing of the institution. The present work focuses on structuring a plan of financial sustainability that helps to modify this trend and ensure the continuity of the school in the time. To reach this aim, this work starts from the development of an operative and financial analysis that allowed to go deeply into the problematic of the school and to identify its main weaknesses and areas of opportunity in the administrative and financial management.
