During this work was conducted a secondary research on the welfare and satisfaction of employees in small and medium enterprises (PYMES) in Antioquia, finding a lack of information and research on the subject in the department of Antioquia. Despite this lack of information, it was possible to find studies on PYMES in Colombia finding that these companies have great difficulties to be managed in the long run, presenting both external and internal problems. Among the internal problems are the lack of long-term planning, productivity, autocratic management, informality, poor management of human resources and among the external problems are the lack of support by government, the complexity of the labor law, high taxes, lack of access to credit, besides others.
