Este trabajo presenta la práctica social realizada en la fundación Barrios de
Jesús. En él se describen actividades tales como: visitar lotes de los
beneficiarios de subsidios para evaluar las condiciones y definir si eran o no
aptos para la construcción; calcular cantidades de obra para viviendas a
construir; realizar los respectivos presupuestos; hacer interventoría a las
viviendas en construcción; atender posventas en la urbanización Villa de la
Candelaria; revisar los documentos presentados por las personas que se
postulaban para los subsidios, y brindar a asesoría a párrocos para mejoras
en sus parroquias. Se muestra también el cumplimiento de los objetivos y
metas planteados. Se presentan resultados, conclusiones y
recomendaciones basadas en la experiencia obtenida en La Fundación.
Es un trabajo que muestra más que un enriquecimiento técnico, uno social y
personal debido al contacto que se tiene con las clases menos favorecidas
tanto económica como socialmente de la ciudad de Medellín y de sus
alrededores.
ABSTRACT: This paper contains the information about the community service rendered to Barrios de Jesús Foundation. It describes activities such as visit the pieces of land owned by the beneficiaries of the borne grants, to evaluate their conditions and see if they were suitable and safe for building the house; calculate the quantities of construction work needed and their respective budgets and costs; supervise and control the homes that were under construction; take care of after-sales at Villa de la Candelaria; check and review the documents of the people who were applying for the grant; and help priests with any work they could have in their parishes. This paper also shows that the objectives and goals were successfully met. In addition, it paints out results, conclusions and gives recomendations based Qn the author's expenence obtained through the social work done at The Foundation. Throughout the paper, the reader may see that more than an acquisition of technical knowledge, the author experienced a personal growth obtained by the service given to The Foundation because there, one has a direct contact with people from the least favored class of the City of Medellín and its surroundings.
