Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de una empresa confeccionista de bolsas de polipropileno
Echeverry, Francisco Javier | 2009
The name of the company is M & M bags. Its creators are Maria Clara Palacio Angel and Mariana Upegui Palacio, both students of Engineering Management, of La Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia.
In 2007 Maria Clara Palacio went to study in Australia and Mariana Upegui to England, there they were able to observe a growing tendency of re-used polypropylene bags with cotton fabric at the moment that someone buy products in stores and supermarkets, and in that way they help the environment.
Something that catches their attention was that customers were still using the bags after the purchase of the product, because they were showy and functional. So, then, the idea borned from two fronts, firstly, the concern about the environmental pollution and secondly, because the companies day to day are looking forwards to position their brands, so they want to make a differentiating element that from their competitors, and in that way have loyal customers.
This is why they decided to combine those needs that are in the world of today, satisfying them, giving an innovative alternative of design bags and merchandising of the brand. In addition, give customers a new option for recycling.
