In this final work is present the conceptual design of an implant at the cardiac level (prosthetic mitral valve). At the time of development, the anatomical dimensions, physical and mechanical properties of the possible materials were considered. In addition, a list was made of the needs based on the requirements according to experts and literature. Based on these needs, the device specifications were established. After disaggregating the problem into functions and subfunctions, solutions were proposed for each of these. With the help of simulations, it was possible to corroborate the proper functioning of the valve, supporting the effort and preventing the creation of turbulence. A design based on elastomers was obtained, with 3 hinges that in turn function as columns and the best way to create a prototype is by means of additive manufacturing (bioprinting).
