    Competitividad turística de Medellín en Suramérica

    In South America, Medellin is comparable with the cities of Belo Horizonte (Brazil), Barquisimeto (Venezuela), Mendoza (Argentina) and Santa Cruz (Bolivia), they have in common variables such as population size, are not capitals and haven`t access to the sea. Considering variables with the greatest impact on tourism, such as currency, language, geographical extent, among others, Barquisimeto and Santa Cruz have the highest correlation of these variables with the city of Medellin, making them more comparable cities in these general aspects. In terms of tourism the highest correlation is evident between the cities of Belo Horizonte and Mendoza, in relation to Medellin. This analysis makes evident as the tourism sector depends not only on the territory and population variables, is influenced by the supply of tourism products and services that cities have for travelers.

    Comportamiento del consumidor frente al turismo en Colombia

    RESUMEN: El turismo es un sector de vital importancia para muchos países del mundo, en algunos como México aporta alrededor del 8% del PIB y genera casi 2 millones de empleos. Lamentablemente, Colombia tardó casi dos décadas en entender la importancia de este sector y en la importante tarea de brindar seguridad tanto a turistas nacionales como internacionales. Después de décadas de ocupación guerrillera, finalmente hay lugares turísticos muy atractivos que hoy en día son zonas seguras, como el Parque de la Macarena con el “río más hermosos del mundo”, caño cristal. También después de muchos años, el gobierno finalmente se decide a lanzar una campaña a nivel mundial para mejorar la imagen del país, la campaña es “Colombia, el único riesgo es que te quieras quedar” y traer mayor cantidad de turistas al país. Puede decirse que antes de dicha campaña el crecimiento del turismo colombiano era mayor que el de la mayoría de países del mundo, en este momento se espera que el crecimiento sea mucho mayor por efectos de la campaña. Se considera que al saber los deseos y pensamientos de los turistas se podrá saber como llegarles y que piensan de nuestro país, por primera vez en la historia del turismo colombiana, se están realizando esfuerzos para conocer estos deseos y pensamientos y para atraer la mayor cantidad de turistas posibles.

    The travel agency TURISMO POR COLOMBIA D.E.O E.U is committed to providing quality service, reliable and timely, providing a preferential and differentiator treatment for each of her clients, implementing for this ISO 9001:2008, which is the quality manual tool. This study was conducted with the aim of designing such a quality manual for certification process in compliance with the standard. The procedure for the design of this was an exploratory, qualitative results obtained based on both secondary and primary information.

This is how all the legal, organizational, financial, marketing, operational and risk variables were carried out to analyze the possibility to offer this service lines to its customers, therefore, the following conclusion was reached: In the city of Medellin there is a steady tourism grow for a travel agency that seeks to offer its clients special experiences to its clients, given them what they really seek for and want.
