Publicación Acceso abierto Desarrollo e implementación de un modelo de teoría de restricciones para sincronizar las operaciones en la cadena de suministro(2013-10-23) Marín-Marín, W. (William); Gutiérrez-Gutierrez, E. V. (Elena Valentina)This paper presents a methodological and practical proposal to synchronize the logistic operations and decisions in a Colombian ceramic tile supply chain. For doing so, we used two tools from the Theory of Constraints methodology (TOC): the first one refers to the operations synchronization along the supply chain through the so-called method Drum-Buffer-Rope; the second one refers to the development of an accounting tool that allows improving the decision making for each member of the supply chain (Throughput Accounting). The results of the implementation show that an integral analysis of the supply chain could improve the global performance metrics such as service level, production plans fulfillment, inventory costs of raw materials and finished goods, and the company productivity.Publicación Acceso abierto Diseño de un plan de mejoramiento para la cadena de suministro de la empresa Drolitoral S. A. aplicando el Modelo SCOR(2014-05-14) Fontalvo-Herrera, T. (Tomás); Hoz-Granadillo, E. (Efraín de la); Cardona-Rojas, D. (Daimer)This article presents the results of the research Project chareacteriztion, analysis and design of a plan of improvement for the supply chain and distribution of godos of the company DROLITORAL S. A., across the application of the Supply Chain Operations Reference model in which initially was made a detailed descripction of the processes executed in the Logistic Administration of the Company, base don the structure of Standard Process Map proposed by SCOR Model.Publicación Acceso abierto Impacto de estrategias de colaboración entre dos actores de una cadena logística en la programación de la producción(2014-05-08) Montoya-Torres, J. R. (Jairo Rafael); Rodríguez-Verjan, G. (Gloria); Merchán-Alba, L. (Liliana)Nowadays implementing cooperation strategies between the members of the supply chain has been an important research topic in order to obtain a more reactive and flexible supply chain in the highly and competitive markets. However, few studies have been done on the impact of such cooperation strategies at one of the lower short-term decision levels: production scheduling. This paper is devoted to the study of information sharing between the members of the supply chain in a dynamic context. We consider a typical make-to-order direct sell supply chain without finished products inventory, similar to that implemented by Internet PC sellers. We compare various scheduling algorithms that are able to take into account future information from forward member of the supply chain. A simulation study is developed in order to get some insights about the impact of information sharing on the performance of the chain. Our results suggest improvement in the performance that shows the importance of collaboration and information sharing between the members of the chain.Publicación Acceso abierto La Ingeniería de Métodos y Tiempos como herramienta en la Cadena de Suministro(2014-05-14) Correa-Espinal, A. (Alexander); Gómez-Montoya, R. A. (Rodrigo Andrés); Botero-Pérez, C. (Cindy)This paper aims to identify the application of methods and time engineering in the supply chain, especially in logistics. For this, it was realized a literature review of the concepts of Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain and Logistics, in addition to the methods and time engineering, their applications and techniques. Under this context, it was possible to expose how the methods and time engineering can be implemented in a Supply Chain Management to improve its management, especially in the logistics processes, identifying it as a processes defining and standardizing factor, as a control and improvement factor and overall as a strategic factor in achieving productivity.
