    Colombia is a country characterized by high production of primary goods and this is evident in the share of these goods in the quantification of PIB. Especially , in recent decades , the flower industry has become important and has led high economic growth for the country by large quantities are exported annually , thus establish itself as the second largest exporter of flowers in the world , after the netherlands . Of course, Antioquia has not been immune to such growth and flower sales represent the largest source of revenue for the eastern region. Currently not considered many variables of different types can affect the performance of the supply chain, directly altering the efficiency of enterprises and flower crops in each of its operations. Based on this, were presented and structured improvement ideas and empower to optimize the performance of supply chain in eastern Antioquia flower industry, eliminating the critical points found.
