Publicación Acceso abierto Impacto económico de los microcréditos en los usuarios de Antioquia(Universidad EIA, 2009) Pérez Botero, Santiago; Uribe Naranjo, Daniel; Lochmuller, ChristianABSTRACT: This work provides information about the meaning of the microcredit as a source of finance, it’s structure and regulatory framework in Colombia, the way in which its use can impact life conditions of users and their families who have requested the microcredit in order to leverage the progress and welfare of their business. The research that has been carried out allows to deliver a clear analysis of the current situation of the microentrepreneurs in the department of Antioquia to the reader. Microentrepreneurs, who at some time have used this type of credit, and who give testimony of their experience or conversely indicate the reasons why they have not used it. Moving on into the details and the scope of this work, it can be highlighted that it took place in different municipalities within regions in the southwest, north, east and west of the department, as well as in the Aburrá Valley, trying to get knowledge about the obstacles and barriers perceived by microentrepreneurs on the topic of microcredit and about the benefits as a result of the use of microcredits. In other words, the investigation is focused on finding out if the microcredit serves for microentrepreneurs as a source of finance and in what extend it has been useful, or if, on the contrary, if they do not know this modality of credit, or do not know the segment for which it is directed or believe that this type of service does not propel the progress of the existing business and the success of new ones. This way providing to the reader the tools that are necessary in order to allow him to get the necessary knowledge about what is a microcredit and about the opinions of micro entrepreneurs with reference to it, in order to deliver an idea to the reader with respect to the current situation of issuers of this type of credit and the target users of this source of finance, that every day is used more by the microbusiness, both in Colombia and worldwide.
