    The purpose of this paper is to present the options that exist on the analysis of costs of a company, both from the strategic, operational and accounting point of view. It takes into accounts reflections from recognized authors, which apply equally to industrial and service companies, as well as some experiences of the author. The conclusion makes special emphasis that approach to analyze the issue of costs, and the role that assume the people who make this approach from the areas of production, sales and administration of companies, not only must be adapted to the reality of the current scenario of global and digital competence, but to question the paradigms that were given by certain by some authors just a few decades ago.

    Lean manufacturing is a way of process management that allows companies to adapt easily the changing conditions of the globalized world. The application is different in each company and depends on the conditions that each company is facing, that’s why there’s no “recipe” that you can follow straight, the methodology adapted to each company helps to eliminate waste through the efficient use of several tools. In this project it is shown a proposal of the lean manufacturing implementation in the platen and bars of copper production line. The methodology used is focused in a diagnostic of a production line through the development of the current value stream mapping. In this way it is analyzed the implementation of the lean manufacturing tools which help to eliminate or decrease existent waste in all the line and reduce delivery time improve the quality level and finally reducing costs.
