(Universidad EIA, 2010) Gutiérrez Gaviria, Juan Camilo; Mejía Uribe, Daniel; Hernández Pérez, Rubén Darío
ABSTRACT: Colombia is a country that suffers a very marked social inequality, having as one of the many results that a lot of people have to dig out an income everyday to cover at least their basic needs. Some of them opt for stealing or begging, others look for doing some labor moderately accepted for society, which is going out to sell something in the streets that allows them to get some money to supply their basic needs, these people are called street vendors, who are people that under the framework of informality, fight to succeed making sales that are not covered legally, with the only aim of having a relatively decent life. This work is focus on the street vendors, who make their sales in a specific sector of Medellin city, which is El Poblado neighborhood, specifically in El Poblado avenue between the 37th street and the 18th south street, which is one of the main way of this neighborhood. In the project, a study is done to understand the acceptance in the vendors of the creation of a corporation that associate them in order to improve their incomes and quality of life with different proposals. It is also necessary and important to know about the perception that the people that pass through this avenue would have about the creation of the corporation, in order to understand the positive impact in the society and to be effective, so the corporation may be a benefit for all. From this, it was made an approach of a complete study that contains the organizational, environmental, legal and financial studies, giving as a result a proposal so the corporation may be viable and sustainable over time, in order to be growing and giving more options to their partners and solve the identified problems, which will be the ones that the corporation will pretend to solve with its creation and implementation.
