(Francisco José)Micro, small and medium-sized software development enterprises are one of the most representative sectors of the global economy. For this reason, obtaining concrete results in the actual context through the methods and models proposed to support software quality is an important contribution to the field of the software industry. In this sense, this paper presents the application of the models proposed by Competisoft (an Iberoamerican project focused on increasing the competitiveness of small enterprises through the process improvement strategy), in order to drive the improvement of some software processes into five Colombian small and medium-sized software development companies. Additionally, this paper also shows the behavior of the application of Competisoft from two approaches: (i) determine, for a company, how productive is adoption of this improvement strategy, in terms of effort and progress, and (ii) refine, validate, and improve models of Competisoft based on the results in reports of experience.Publicación Acceso abierto Sistema de gestión integral de provedores para el desarrollo de la industria marítima en Colombia. (Juan Carlos)The following article presents the results of research that has as main objective to expose a model that includes processes for the integrated management of suppliers of goods and services of Research and Development Corporation-Cotecmar. The methodology used was supported by the provisioning matrix designed by Peter Kraljic and based on vendor management systems of Colombian companies such as Ecopetrol and Bavaria. The results show that given the nature of a corporation as Cotecmar is necessary to establish and implement the classification, evaluation, development and certification of providers, as a tool to further integration of the Corporation with its suppliers and in turn the definition of sourcing strategies that help streamline the supply chain and increase management capacity and the competitiveness of the organization.
