    Identificación de zonas estratégicas para el desarrollo competitivo del turismo en Medellín

    This work is about finding the best zones, in order to develop touristic projects at Medellín city. During the research the investigators found 3 different zones where the tourism takes place. The zones are: Downtown, Laureles and Poblado. To have a better coalification the researchers picked 5 variables that impact the tourism directly, in order to determinate easily which of the 3 zones has the conditions or characteristics to develop and continue growing the tourism business. Those variables are: transportation, travel agency, touristic places, gastronomy and hotels. The tool that was chosen by the investigators, was an interview which was applied to some experts, who work in the local or receptive tourism; they just not shared their knowledge but also they graded the five variable that were picked, based on some attributes that were given previously by the researchers. Finally, at the end of the analysis was found that the most appropriate zone to develop and continue investing on tourism projects is Poblado, because that zone has diversity places of commerce, gastronomy, transportation, hotels and night life.
