Se realiza una identificación de las necesidades de comunicación interna del municipio de La Estrella por medio de visitas y reuniones con el jefe del área de sistemas. Estas necesidades son analizadas y a partir de ellas se diseña una red para el municipio. Se visitan además, los municipios de Envigado, Itagüi, Sabaneta y Bello para conocer la implementación de la red en cada municipio, recoger las características comunes y sus necesidades de información y comunicación. A partir de los datos obtenidos de todos los municipios visitados se diseña una red con características generales que pueda ser implementada en cualquier Centro Administrativo Municipal de tamaño pequeño o medio y se dan recomendaciones para su implementación, administración y mantenimiento.ABSTRACT: The objective of this work is to create a design of telecommunications network for Municipal Administrative Centers of small or average size (50 to 200 equipment connected to the network), taking as a model the municipality of La Estrella that is without a suitable network.
