The sector of Office Supplies in Colombia and specifically the office supply retailers in Medellin have poor development in terms of E-Commerce. Many companies decide to start the implementation of a virtual point of sale without having the knowledge necessary to develop it properly, That is why this project describes a methodology based on the concepts of electronic commerce for any company wishing to know which are the following stages, elements and tools to consider when they want to develop a virtual point of sale. Additionally, within the project describes the strategies that can be used particularly to support the office supply retailers to implement the methodology in the right way. It is important to mention that every business has unique needs, therefore the success of a virtual point of sale is not conditioned by the methodology, but rather by the interpretation that make companies of it and how they adapt the methodology to the requirements of their business.
