This paper presents a short description of the phases and steps for the development of hydrodynamic numerical models and the characteristics of a Decision Support System (DSS) that assists researchers in this activity. The DSS manages, integrates, and analyzes the numerical results from the model and in-situ measurements, which have been incrementing due to the technological advances in this field in the last decades.
