Plan de negocio para distribución y comercialización de bioinsumos agrícolas amigables con el medio ambiente en el departamento de Antioquia

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los bioinsumos de uso agrícola son una herramienta en los programas de agricultura ecológica y convencional, y en Colombia su uso se ha extendido durante los últimos años, con lo cual también se han incrementado el número de empresas y productos en el mercado; la comercialización de este tipo de productos está condicionada al cumplimiento de la normativa dictaminada por parte del Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario-ICA, quien es la autoridad nacional competente para ejercer registro y control. En el presente proyecto de trabajo de grado se evaluó la viabilidad para la distribución y comercialización de bioinsumos agrícolas en el mercado antioqueño, con proyección al país: esto es identificar la oportunidad de invertir en este negocio para su desarrollo durante los próximos años. El análisis permitió a identificar qué tan competitiva resulta la producción de bioinsumos agrícolas en el mercado. El desarrollo del proyecto partió de la búsqueda y análisis de información actual del sector, análisis de las cinco fuerzas de Porter y otras herramientas que permitan tener una mayor claridad del cómo funciona el modelo de negocio de la distribución y comercialización de los bioinsumos agrícolas financieramente. De acuerdo con la evaluación financiera se encontró que este proyecto de la comercialización y distribución de bioinsumos agrícolas en el departamento de Antioquia es rentable dado que indicadores de rentabilidad como la TIR y el VAN fueron mostraron la viabilidad del proyecto.

ABSTRACT: Bio-inputs for agricultural use are a tool in the ecological and conventional agriculture programs, and in Colombia their use has spread in recent years, with which the number of companies and products in the market has also increased; The commercialization of this type of products is conditional on compliance with the regulations issued by the Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario-ICA, which is the competent national authority to exercise registration and control. In the present project of degree work, the viability for the distribution and commercialization of agricultural bio-inputs in the Antioquia market was evaluated, with projection to the country: this is to identify the opportunity to invest in this business for its development during the coming years. The analysis allowed to identify how competitive the production of agricultural bio-inputs is in the market. The development of the project started from the search and analysis of current information in the sector, analysis of the five forces of Porter and other tools that allow to have a greater clarity of how the business model of the distribution and commercialization of agricultural bio-inputs works financially. According to the financial evaluation, it was found that this project for the commercialization and distribution of agricultural bio-inputs in the department of Antioquia is profitable, given that profitability indicators such as IRR and NPV showed the viability of the project.
